Nico Yektai's work is characterized by the manipulation of the components within a piece of furniture. This shifting and faceting of the wooden elements does not directly translate to the cast concrete elements in his work. He developed a new vocabulary of form with subtracted facets that serves to tie the concrete elements into the movement he captures in his woodworking.

Established in 1995 in Sag Harbor, New York, Nico Yektai designs and build one-of-a-kind furniture from his studio. The pieces are shown throughout the country via art galleries and design shows.
